The Vintage Look Project

It cannot be denied, we love the vintage look. We dress in vintage or vintage-inspired clothing because it’s fun, creative, and a great way to extend our personalities into our wardrobe. After all, some of us were most certainly born in the wrong generation. Or so we’re told.  But wrong generation or not, casual or serious, if you enjoy swapping ideas and borrowing vintage looks from each other, we’ve got a treat for you! Which brings us to our announcement – the unveiling of the Vintage Look Project.

It shouldn’t take too many head-scratches to figure this one out. The twist here is we’re asking you and the vintage community to create a Vintage Look and send us a photo of yourself. So this is how the Vintage Look Project works, in a nutshell: (more…)

We are excited to announce our interview plan for 2014. Our goal is to find the coolest, hippest Vintage cats out there, and find out what makes them tick. We’re looking for the sensational, the talented and the offbeat; each influential within their respective fields. They are fashionistas, musicians, stylists, decorators, artists, taste makers, thought leaders, performers, designers, teachers, collectors, photographers, models, writers, and more. Yet as diverse as these individuals are in their personalities, cultures, locations, talents and focus, they all have one thing in common. They inspire us.

Vintage Shopper goes live!

0

We’re pleased to announce that an all-new Vintage Shopper has gone live. Make no mistake, this is a brand new and very different Vintage Shopper from its original incarnation. It was founded on January 2002 (now 11 years ago) as a small online retail store dedicated to selling vintage-inspired clothing, home decor, accessories, collectibles, jewelry, etc.

Whether it’s through fashion, music or collecting trinkets from eras past, Vintage represents a lifestyle that has grown in popularity across the world and now infuses our daily lives with the nostalgia of a bygone era. That, along with the ever growing numbers of small vintage-themed businesses popping up online and on street corners, we recognized a need to help Vintage Shoppers find businesses and businesses find customers.

Having said that, we decided to launch with an incomplete set of listings, with the hope that the community will help build up the directory with both their own interests and others’ at heart.

Our aspiration is to make Vintage Shopper the most comprehensive and current directory for all things Vintage. Get started now by adding (or claiming) your listing today!
