Adding a Business

  • Why should I list my business with Vintage Shopper?
    One of Vintage Shopper’s goals is to create a one-stop destination for shoppers to locate businesses and events that cater to their specific vintage interests. By listing your business with us, you will make it easier for your customers to find your business, learn about your offerings, and ultimately shop with you.   • Does Vintage Shopper need to approve listings?
    Yes. To ensure the quality and legitimacy of our listings, each and every submission needs to be approved by our editors. Only once they are approved will the listing be published.
  • Is adding a business really free?
    Yes, it’s completely free. For greater visibility, you are able to upgrade your listing to have it featured on either the home page and/or related category page.
  • What if I don’t have a physical store?
    That’s completely fine. Just enter your city and country in the “address” field and make sure you enter your website’s URL.
  • What if there isn’t a suitable category for my listing?
    We’ve made every effort to come up with broad categories, but we understand that businesses have unique needs and offerings. Please contact us with a new category suggestion, and we will certainly consider it.
  • What are tags and are they important?
    Tags are keywords you can enter to describe your business, merchandise or service offerings. E.g. 1920s, vintage dresses, pin-up photography, etc. This gives you a structured way of describing your business and makes it easier for customers to find and identify what you offer.
  • How long will my listing stay on Vintage Shopper?
    Your listing will remain on Vintage Shopper, unless an admin or the owner of the listing removes it.
  • How many businesses can I add?
    As many businesses as you like!
  • What if I need to update my listing?
    You can easily update any information within your listing, even after you have submitted it. To do so, locate your listing on your dashboard and click on the “edit listing” button, update your information as needed and be sure to save your changes.

Claiming a Business Listing

  • What does “claim a listing” mean?
    We have proactively added highly relevant businesses to the directory. One of these may be yours, and because we want you to manage the listing, we have made it possible for you to claim it as your own.
  • Why should I claim a listing?
    You should claim a listing because as the owner or representative of the business, it’s in your interest to have a complete and up-do-date set of information. This way, you can take complete control of the listing and manage it as you see fit.
  • Does it cost anything to claim a listing?
    No, it’s completely free.
  • How to I claim a business?
    First of all, you need to make sure your business is already in the directory by performing a search by its name. If you find it successfully, you will be able to click on a “claim this listing” button. This will effectively give you control over the listing, pending approval by Vintage Shopper editors.

Featuring a Business Listing

  • What are “featured listings?”
    Featured listings are listings that have been upgraded to appear at the top of the category pages and/or home page.
  • How long do listings remain featured?
    Listings remain featured for 30 days.
  • Why should I feature my business?
    If you are looking to draw attention to your listing and stand out from the crowd, featuring your business is the way to go.
  • How do I feature my business?
    If you have already added your listing, you can do this by locating your listing from your dashboard and clicking on the “upgrade listing” button. You will be required to choose where you want your listing featured and then submit payment.
  • How much does it cost to feature my listing?
    It costs $10 / for 30 days to feature your listing on your assigned category page(s), and $50 for 30 days, to feature your listing on the home page.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    We accept Paypal.
