Pewter Angel Candlestick - Tall

Tall Pewter Angel Candlestick with Sculptural Wings

An angel lifting a candle overhead brings a quiet sense of guardianship to a room. The Tall Pewter Angel Candlestick captures that feeling in a statuesque figure, her flowing robes and feathered wings shaped with delicate attention while a single taper rises above. When lit, the flame becomes part of the sculpture—a small beacon held aloft in silver-toned pewter.

The figure’s vertical form gives the candlestick presence without requiring a wide footprint. Folds of drapery create movement through the body, while the wings add texture and shadow. In daylight, the pewter catches a cool, gentle gleam; in the evening, candlelight settles into the sculpted details and lends the angel a warmer, more intimate character.

Place the Tall Pewter Angel Candlestick on a mantel, an entry console, or at the end of a dining table where its silhouette can be appreciated. It feels especially poignant during the holidays, framed by evergreen branches or winter florals, yet its serene design is not limited to one season. In a bedroom or quiet reading room, it can bring a reflective note to the simple ritual of lighting a candle at dusk.

The piece belongs to a long decorative tradition in which angels symbolize comfort, hope, and watchful care. Here, that familiar image is rendered as functional sculpture rather than ornament alone. The raised taper turns light into part of the story, allowing the candlestick to feel different each time it is used.

For a layered display, combine it with other silhouettes from the Vintage Candle Holders Collection. During the festive season, its winged figure also pairs naturally with the nostalgic ornaments and heirloom-inspired accents in the Vintage Christmas Décor Collection.

As a gift, the Tall Pewter Angel Candlestick carries a tenderness that suits a housewarming, holiday, remembrance, or milestone celebration. It offers beauty with meaning: a figure shaped in quiet detail, a flame held high, and the promise of warm light returning whenever the taper is lit.
